About Us

Comprehensive Fitness and Consultation incorporates a holistic approach to health and well-being. Both mental and physical health work in combination.  Clients may choose to work on mental and/or physical health at our site.

Dr. Amy White and her husband, Dave, have over 25 years of combined experience in law enforcement. Amy retired from law enforcement in 2007.   During the course of her career, she became acutely aware of the need for mental health professionals who are knowledgeable and culturally competent in working with law enforcement personnel.

At the end of her law enforcement career, she returned to school obtaining her doctorate in psychology and obtained a certification as a personal trainer. The combination of her education and personal experiences allows her to provide a unique perspective and understanding in working with police officers and other first responders receiving mental health treatment. She believes the implementation of physical fitness is a key component to maintaining good psychological health.

Dave left police work a few years following his OIS. He is personally aware of the struggles officers may experience following an OIS and the struggles significant others experience when a loved one struggles with posttraumatic stress. He currently provides self-defense instruction (handgun, rifle, hand to hand).

Together, Amy and Dave, with their unique personal experiences, provide a multifaceted and supportive team in helping those dedicated to protecting and serving others.
